Family of 5 evicted tomorrow

5/13/22 Request received:
A reporter put me in touch with a family of five (3 adults, 2 kids). They have already received a court order and got a letter this afternoon stating they will be evicted from Mueller Flats tomorrow. They are terrified any time that cops enter the complex and have nowhere to go--their plan is to stay in their jeep or a hotel for as long as they (Note: Not actual picture)
can afford it.
I connected them to the Children's HOME Initiative, and they applied a few days ago. We went through Foundation Communities' properties (emailed & called every family complex with them) and they were not able to apply in time to get the couple units that were available last week. I also gave them lists of shelters to call and supported them to call many, many low-income complexes. Nothing is working out, because they don't fit the "perfect" tenant criteria, even for income-restricted complexes.
Does anyone have any immediate advice or resources? I'm sure they'd like to store belongings. Other than CHI, are there any organizations you all recommend for a family with kids in this situation? If anyone here has resources to offer & would like to speak with the family, I'm sure they'd appreciate it, so please let me know.
Thanks,
Sxxx
